Can you wear red past 40??

Well, it has become clear that many middle-aged women feel like they are too old to wear something as simple as red! This is ridiculous, how has the color red controlled the lives of so many? Let's see... red symbolizes enthusiasm, energy, confidence, and confidence, Oh and Confidence.  My theory is this: Mid-Life Crises= Loss of Self Esteem! Hence-- why these fantastic women feel awkward about wearing a hot red leather jacket, or sexy red cord pants.  The only thing on this sphere we call Earth that could be considered inappropriate to wear at forty are the following (in no particular order):
Grills
Anything with a PlayBoy Bunny on it
Facial Tattoos (save eyeliner, lipliner, and gang related tear drops)
Mickey Mouse Sweaters
Mu-Mus
1980 Light Wash Wranglers
...The list goes on

But having said this, notice none of these DON'Ts are hot! Red  is a hot color! Ladies you are so worth loving yourself! No matter the shape, size, or whatever you are a Hottie! Wear red! On KSL Channel Five News, Nadine Wimmer, is always in red! She looks great and so do you! Red is such an IN color this season that its not fashion mishap rather it says "I am a strong, independent women; be jealous!"
